Microsoft Teams channels (via Zapier)

Post a TeamsMaestro recap to a Microsoft Teams channel after every meeting. The recap, action items, and meeting link land next to the conversation they belong to, so the team can follow up in the thread. It runs through the TeamsMaestro app for Zapier.

How it works

When TeamsMaestro finishes summarizing a meeting, the Zap sends a message to the Teams channel you choose. People who missed the call get the decisions and next steps without asking, and replies stay in the same thread.

Use one channel per project or per client, and filter by meeting title so each recap goes to the right place.

Pick which meetings run it. The trigger has optional filters for the meeting title (contains, starts with, or matches exactly) and for the host or participants. You can combine conditions and run the Zap when any of them is met.

Set it up
  1. Open the template and sign in to Zapier. Connect your TeamsMaestro account, which shows up in Zapier as AI TeamsMaestro.
  2. Keep Meeting Summarized as the trigger, and add filters so only the right meetings post to this channel.
  3. Test the trigger. Zapier loads a recent meeting from your account so you can see the fields: title, platform, start and end times, organizer, attendees, summary, and action items.
  4. Connect Microsoft Teams and choose the team and channel.
  5. Map the summary, action items, and meeting link to the message text.
  6. Run a test, check the message in Teams, and publish the Zap.

Want the same recap in a different channel for another project? Duplicate the Zap and change the filter and channel.

Frequently asked questions

Can different meetings post to different channels?

Yes. Set up one Zap per channel and use the meeting title, host, or participant filters to decide which meetings go where.

Is this different from the TeamsMaestro app in Teams?

Yes. The TeamsMaestro app takes the notes in your meetings. This Zap shares the finished recap in a channel of your choice, so people who were not in the meeting see it too.

Do I need a paid TeamsMaestro plan?

Yes. Zapier integrations are included on the Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans. They are not available on the Free plan.
